Made during a residency at the Guanlan Printmaking Base in China. I borrowed the title from a sign that I found on the streets in Guandong province. It's the Chinese version of 'keep calm and carry on'. An unconvincing promise from the government to the people living in hopeless rows of dirty buildings next to the factories they all worked in.
The technique is waterless lithography, three plates. I started the work as a challenge to see if I could use all the different possibilties of toner drawing in one work.
